Vishal in Ilayathalapathy Vijay's footsteps

The 'Naan Sigappu Manithan' actor Vishal has always openly expressed his admiration for Ilayathalapathy Vijay in many interviews. In a recent interaction, the tall actor once again talked about how Vijay had braved a lot of harsh criticism early in his career and came out on top eventually. This is what he had to say.

Vijay faced harsh criticism in his early days and some magazines were in fact very sharp in their comments about his looks. He overcame all this with his silence and proved people wrong with his action.

I also faced a similar situation when a producer commented badly about my looks. I was reminded by the similar situation that Vijay faced and decided that my work should speak on behalf of me.

As a director and script writer, I imagine Vijay in different avatars - as an anti hero, as a super hero etc. He is the first actor who comes to mind

It would be a great development if Vishal, the director and Vijay, the actor join hands in the coming years.
