Behindwoods Tamil Cinema Progressive is a new initiative to recognize and laud individuals who have associated themselves with gutsy new-wave cinema with an eye on taking Tamil cinema forward.
In 2008, Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies made their entry to the industry as a new production house which had an eye for grand commercial entertainers and also interesting concept driven movies. Today, Udhay stands as an important part of present day Tamil cinema as he has been continuously supporting, distributing and promoting progressive attempts like Mynaa, Neram, Aadhalaal Kadhal Seiveer to name a few. As a result of the banner's handsome success, all movies which have the Red Giant stamp automatically generate a good amount of expectations in the trade and among fans.
In a quick chat with Behindwoods as part of our “Tamil Cinema Progressive” initiative, Udhayanidhi Stalin talks about his firm and their modus-operandi.
