Shree, a former assistant of director Shankar, is set with his maiden venture, Damaal Dumeel. Produced by Cameo Films, the movie stars Vaibhav Reddy and Remya Nambeesan in the lead.

“It’s a perfect commercial entertainer with a difference. There are high voltage thriller elements in the movie mixed with a lot of comedy. The comedy will be situational and not forced.”
“Dialogues will play a major role. Like in Panchathanthiram, the confusions that the dialogues create among the characters, will act as a huge source for comedy.”
“There will also be social issues, like fake medicines and murders, running in the background of the film. We shot at Coovum River, a popular body-dump spot.”
“This is a small budget film and will not be a trendsetter in terms of technology. The story is a complex one and I believe stuffing the film with new techniques would overshadow the story.”
