M.Karunanidhi’s Ponkar-Shankar Movie Launch Photo Gallery
Actor Prashanth’s Ponnar Shankar started rolling last sunday with much fanfare at the Valluvar Kottam. The grand launch of Ponnar Shankar was done by none other than the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M. Karunanidhi. The CM switched on the camera on stage, producer AVM Saravanan clapped the movie clapboard and the camera started rolling.
Ponnar Shankar story has been scripted by none other than Kalaigar Karunanidhi and is said to be a master piece. The pre-production work for the film has been on for almost a year and the first leg of shooting will have an impressive star cast that comprises actors Napoleon, Satyaraj, Raj Kiran,Vijay Kumar, Vadivelu, Riyaz Khan, Ponvannan, Khushbu, Seetha, Manorama and Sriranjani,” says a visibly excited Prashanth.
A perfect host at the function was Prashanth’s father Thiyagarajan. For the very first time a massive ancient township set with its own temple, lake and palaces have been created inside Valluvar Kottam (Chennai) for this movie. Prashanth will be playing a double role of both Ponnar and Shankar in this movie.
