Appavi (Innocent) is a film produced by V L Dhandapani under the banner of Devi Visions Pvt Limited.

Director R Raghuraj has jotted down the story, screenplay and dialogues for the flick. New face Gowtham and Suhanai are in the lead roles.

The other cast includes K Bhagyaraj, Manobala, Murali, Mahadevan, Suri, Sampath and Kanika. Joshua Sridhar is composing music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu and Na Muthukumar. E Krishnaswamy is capturing the film in his camera while V T Vijayan is editing this film.

India’s longest flag which is 1115 feet in length was made and used for the movie ‘Appavi’. This flag was speacially made for a song in the movie. The song was picturised in 5 days with 500 college students participating in it.

Balasubramaniyam and Chithra LIVE in concert. Joining them were popular playback singers like Karthik, Sriram Parthasarathy, Haricharan, Harini, Sai Madhumitha and Sainthavi.

The event featured some of most popular evergreen Kamal Haasan’s hits like ‘Andhi mazhai’, ‘Nee partha parvai’, ‘Valai osai’ and many more,. The audience lost themselves to the feeling of love as the legendary singer SPB began with “Sippi irukudu muthum irukkudu” from one of the Kamal Haasan’s biggest hits, “Varumaiyin niram sivappu”. S.P. Balasubramaniyam, the man who has sung to most of Kamal Haasan’s songs, is a true legend. It was indeed a treat to see all the budding talents share the centre stage with him singing to songs like, “Valai osai”, “Nee partha”, “Ninaithale inikkum”, “Unnavida”, “Nila kaadiyudhu”, “Andhi Mazhai”, “Poongatru puthithanadhu”., and many more.

A special unplugged segment would also feature all the singers in a medley stringing together some of Kamal’s melodious numbers..! As a special treat to Kamal Haasan’s thousands of fans, songs from his movies in other Indian languages were also performed. Its not immediate entry into politics for Ilayathalapathi Vijay. The actor met with the press at his JS Kalyana Mandapam in Vadapalani to give clarifications regarding the speculation made by media regarding his entry into politics.

Vijay clarified that his recent meeting with Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi was arranged by a well-wisher and they discussed about his Makkal Iyakkam, his fan clubs and Cinema. However he does not have any immediate plans of joining politics.

Even in the future he said, he’ll join hands with a government that will work for the welfare of the Tamils. He also did not rule out that his ‘Makkal Iyakkam’ has scope to be converted into a political party.

Later he directed films like Keecharalu starring Ushauthup, Shobana, banuchander, Priyatrama starring Rahman, Nirosha, Radha, Saratbabu etc.m. In Tamil He launched his first film titled TIME starring Prabhu deva & Simran.

Directing different films with varied themes is his forte.All his films have music composed by Maestro IlayaVasekarn. Mr. Geethakrishnas penchant for good music and his experience with Ilaya Vasekarn has prompted him to compose for his current film titled Nimidangal. This trilingual film in Tamil, Telugu & Kannada are being produced under his Banner BLUE FOX CINEMA. The Telugu version of the film is KOFFI BAR and the titled in Kannada is yet to be finalized.

The highlight if this film is use of a camera called RED ONE and this film will be the first ever film made in India using such a superior Technology.

The Subject of the film is under wraps but it will be a Realistic Thriller with a good social message from the youth and for all to see.

Currently the music recordings is happening in Chennai at Rajiv Menons studio and the shooting is expected to commence shortly.

Of the two Cinematographers for the film..One is Mr.Murali from US having done his cinematography course from a reputed New York University.The other person is the talented and well known cinematographer Mr.M.V,Raghu who has many films to his credit including Sippikul Muthu..
