Its not immediate entry into politics for Ilayathalapathi Vijay. The actor met with the press at his JS Kalyana Mandapam in Vadapalani to give clarifications regarding the speculation made by media regarding his entry into politics.
Vijay clarified that his recent meeting with Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi was arranged by a well-wisher and they discussed about his Makkal Iyakkam, his fan clubs and Cinema. However he does not have any immediate plans of joining politics.
Even in the future he said, he’ll join hands with a government that will work for the welfare of the Tamils. He also did not rule out that his ‘Makkal Iyakkam’ has scope to be converted into a political party.
