Yogi has been written and directed by Subramania Shiva, who has made enjoyable films like Thiruda Thirudi and Pori. The dialogues and screenplay are Ameer. Ameer himself produces the film, under the banner of Team Work Productions. Ameer Sultan from Madurai has done just three films in seven years as a writer and director — Mounam Pesiyadhe, Raam and Paruthiveeran. Yogi, a guy who grows up in the slums of north Madra.
After acquiring the rights over Vijay’s ‘Vettaikaran’, Dhanush starrer ‘Kutty’, Sun Pictures has signed the deal for Ameer’s ‘Yogi’.
‘Yogi’ features Ameer, Madhumitha and Lyric writer Snegan in lead roles, while Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music.
