The entire movie of Pokkisham is in a flashback format where you see a young marine engineer D Lenin (Cheran), working in the harbour of Calcutta in 1970 who falls in love with the immensely intellectual Nadheera(Padmapriya). How their shared intrest, love of samethings and friendship slowly blossoms into love forms the core of the movie.
