AR Murugadoss signs deal with Fox Star Studios

After the success of his Hindi movie Ghajini with Aamir khan, Muragadoss is recieving his much deserved recognition. He has signed a multi-film, multi-crore deal with Fox Star Studios, a production and distribution joint venture between Hollywood studio Twentieth Century Fox and media major Star Group.

Sources add that with this deal, Murugadoss will make several Tamil films for Fox Star, the first two of which are rumoured to be budgeted at a whopping Rs 60 crore. While the distribution will be handled solely by Fox Star, the producer-director will select the scripts for the films and have total creative control over them.

Muragadoss has said that he’ll promote new talent in the Tamil Industry with this partnership. “Tamil films are next only to Hindi movies in popularity, and we are delighted to be accessing this growing segment through this deal with Murugadoss, one of the most successful writer-directors in Kollywood and Bollywood” said Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios India.
