I run when Sivaji Ganesan, Ilayaraja or KB calls - Kamal Haasan

In so many occasions Kamal Haasan has expressed his love and respect for certain people in the film industry. One of them is Maestro Ilayaraja and recently Kamal did prove the respect he has for the composer. Ilayaraja was recording a song for one of his upcoming films, ‘Happi’. The singer, who was assigned the job of crooning the number, couldn’t render what the maestro was looking for.

So, Ilayaraja supposedly asked his manager to request Kamal to step in immediately. With no hesitation or delay, Kamal Haasan hurried to the studio and delivered what the composer asked for in a matter of half an hour.

Ask the Vishwaroopam man why he did this, he says that when people like Sivaji Ganesan, Ilayaraja and K Balachander ask him for something, he will ‘run’ and do it for them.

A city named after Ajith

Ajith fans will be delighted to know that there is a city in this world which has the same title they use affectionately for their favorite star. In the country of Tunisia, there is a city called Thala!

It is a beautiful place located in the Kasserine Governorate at an altitude of  1,017 metres. We are not at all surprised to find Thala at a very elevated spot on the map!

Chinna Vaandu- Dhanush

Dhanush’s new movie with Sargunam has been titled as Naiyaandi, as earlier reported. The director has updated that Dhanush’s character name in this film would be Chinna Vaandu, a comic one indeed. This movie is a love story between a lamp shop owner in Kumbakonam and a dentistry student.

Known for quality movies like Kalavani and Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Sargunam would be expected to give a healthy comedy entertainer with Naiyaandi as well. We also hear that Dhanush was mighty impressed with the script and he would be hoping that his shift to comedy, after a slew of serious roles, would pay off handsomely.
