Prakash Raj Visits CM, KB – Gallery
On his first trip to Chennai after winning the National Award for Best Actor, Prakash Raj first met Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and then went on to meet his mentor K. Balachander.
Prakash, who was in Chennai after taking a break from his shooting of his Kannada film, went to meet the CM along with his two daughters. He then went to meet his mentor KB who gave him first break in Tamil Cinema in the movie Duet. He also met the press at the GRT convention center. He said he has the utmost respect for his fellow contenders for the National Award, but feels that it was his luck that made him take home the award.
Prakash Raj who plays a poor silk weaver in Kanchivaram, says that reciving the National Award is the highest payment he has got till date in his career.
