Ready, steady go for Dhanush


Joining the longlist of movies to be remade from Tollywood is Ready. Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, the movie featured Ram and Genelia in the lead roles. An action-packed romantic entertainer, it became a big hit.

Buzz is that Dhanush will be playing the lead role in the Tamil remake. To be produced by Mohan Apparao and Thandra Ramesh, the movie would go on floors in January 2010.

Sources say, ‘there was a huge demand for the remake rights of the movie. Eventually Mohan Apparao and Thandra Ramesh won it’.

The rest of the star cast and the director for the movie would be announced soon. Dhanush is acting in Kutty, Aadukalam besides an untitled movie.

Ayirathil Oruvan Movie Audio Launched


Glitzy and grand launch

Selvaragavan’s much-awaited Ayirathil Oruvan had its audio launched in a grand manner on Sunday at Centenary Hall in University of Madras. The star-studded event brought together popular celebrities from the
tinsel town.

This glitzy launch witnessed Kerala Singara Vadiyam, Kallaripayattu was performed by Kerala martial arts besides music composer G V Prakash taking the centrestage to render live some of the tracks.

There was a fashion show with costumes reflecting 12th century, designed by Erum Ali, which won the applause of everyone. Aishwarya Dhanush and Dhanush took the stage singing a song ‘Unmela aasadhan’
from the album. Nigerian dance show, Snake dance and a rope dance formed part of the event.

Yuvanshankar Raja, who is supposed to be at loggerheads, also attended the event. The movie stars Karthi, Reema Sen, Parthiban and Andrea.
