Vinay plays the son of a millionnaire in the film and will be dubbing in his own voice, something he hadn’t done in his earlier films. The film will have elements like romance, action and comedy mixed in right measure befitting a commercial pot-boiler, typical of many of Saran’s films.

Vinay, who came across as a lover boy in ‘Unnalae Unnalae’ and ‘Jeyamkondan’, is taking on an action avatar in his upcoming film ‘Modhi Vilaiyadu’, directed by Saran. Kajal Aggarwal (of ‘Pazhani’ and ‘Bommalattam’ fame) is paired opposite Vinay. This is a story of a youth who avenges the people who had double crossed him. Santhanam, V.M.C.Hanifa and Mayilsami are also in the cast. S.Ramakrishnan has written the story and dialogues. Saran has written the screenplay for this film.

Singer Hariharan is going to compose music for Tamil director Saran’s new film Modhi Vilayadu.

The latest buzz in filmnagar is that Madhu Mantena (cousin of Ram Gopal Varma), who produced Hindi Ghajini along with Allu Arvind is planning Hindi remake of Arundhati! Madhu is currently negotiating with producer Shyam Prasad Reddy for the remake rights. It is likely to be joint production of Shyam Prasad Reddy and Madhu. And, Asin is likely to play the titile role! Well, the news is yet to be confirmed officially.

She is ideally suited for the double role of Arundhati — purely author-backed and performance role. She is brilliant and breathtaking in parts.
