Various organiastions of Tamil film industry, including the artistes association and producers council, would take out a rally on October 19 in Rameswaram to protest the ‘killing of Tamils’ in the ongoing offensive by the Sri Lankan Army against LTTE in the north of the island.
All films-related work would be suspended from October 18-20, Director Bharathirajaa told reporters here after a joint meeting of the associations.
“The rally is aimed at condemning the killing of the Tamils and we aim to make our voices heard in Sri Lanka as well as the world,” he said.
Meanwhile, the industry members have decided to wear black arm badges while working to show their opposition to the killings of Tamils, he added. Source: Hindu
