Arya talks about marriage with Nayanthara !

Arya and Nayanthara have shared screen space in the past in Boss Engira Bhaskaran and currently the two are engaged in projects such as Atlee’s Raja Rani and Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Valai’. Responding to news reports linking the two together as a pair, Arya responded by admitting that he is indeed very fond of Nayanthara. He says that of all the heroines that he is friends with, Nayanthara is the one with whom he opens up a lot more.

He says he is helpless when tabloids talk about the two getting hitched soon, but he feels that no one can tell how things will transpire in the future but for now they are just good friends.

Meanwhile, there were reports doing rounds that Arya and Nayanthara are to play the lead in director Priyadarshan’s next project which the veteran filmmaker himself has denied. He also says that he has no plans of making a Tamil film just yet.

Powerstar's meeting with the CM

Tamil cinema’s current busy-bee Powerstar Srinivasan was shooting for his new movie, Naan Sarakku Nee Oorugai, directed by veteran director Ramanarayanan in Pondicherry. When the shoots were happening near Pondicherry’s Secretariat office, Powerstar rushed to meet the CM Mr.Rangasamy when he was in office and Power even kissed the CM on his hands, it is heard.

After exchanging pleasantries, Powerstar honored the CM with a shawl and parted from the place. The CM was apparently impressed with the Powerstar’s ways and manners.

Vijay's die-hard celeb fan

Among the numerous fans of actor Vijay, we have a star in the mix as well. We are talking about Shanthanoo Bhagyaraj, the up and coming actor whose recent release was Ammavin Kaipesi for Diwali.

We hear Shanthanoo keeps collecting stylish pictures of Vijay like a true fan would, and is also happy that his mom Poornima Bhagyaraj is a part of Vijay’s forthcoming Jilla.

On the career front, Shanthanoo has two films in hand, Amali Thumali and Vaaymai, and would be looking to earn some much needed success.

The South Indian Actors’ Association has planned to go on a fast on 2nd April, against the Sri Lankan Government. A Week back, the K-Town directors, including Shankar, Mani Ratnam, Ameer and many others went on a hunger strike for the same cause.

The Sri Lankan issue was brought before the UN recently and majority of the countries including India have voted against Sri Lanka.

The Tamil actors will also be expressing their condemnation against the Sri Lankan Government through a hunger strike on the mentioned date. The protest will happen between 9 AM and 6 PM in T Nagar in Chennai and top actors including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are likely to attend.

Ajith and Rana's fast dance number set to rock

Vijay Yesudas has lent his vocals for the new Ajith-Vishnuvardhan movie, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is the much talked about celebration song that Vijay Yesudas has rendered. He said that Ajith and Rana Daggubati will feature in this fast dance number which would be high on rhythm.

Vijay also said that he generally feels good vibes while recording for Yuvan and is happy to be a part of the much hyped Ajith-Vishnuvardhan-Yuvan combo after Billa in 2007. It must be recalled that Vijay had sung the peppy ‘Sevar Kodi Parakkudhada’ song in Billa and he expects his new number to also leave a similar mark on listeners.
