Siva Karthikeyan values his 20 minutes with Ajith

Not many know that actor Siva Karthikeyan actually made a blink-you-miss type cameo in Ajith’s 2008 release, Aegan. Siva recalled that he felt astonished seeing Ajith for the first time due to the sheer presence of the star and his glowing complexion.

Siva got a chance to act in this film thanks to his comedy show on TV, which was noticed by one of the associate directors who was working for Aegan. He had to wait for 4 to 5 days though, to get a chance to do a scene together with Ajith but was made to feel welcome despite his humble stature at that time. Ajith spent about 20 minutes with him before their shot, asking him about whether he was paid properly, his family life and also about his spending and saving habits.

Due to changes in the script, Siva didn’t participate in Aegan beyond that particular day but he still deems it an unforgettable experience.

Dhanush denies accident rumors at Mariyaan's shoot

Bharat Bala’s Mariyaan, starring Dhanush, is fast getting ready and the film is entirely based in coastal areas, with Dhanush playing a fisherman in the movie. The shoot is currently happening in areas surrounding Kanyakumari.

For one of the scenes in the movie, Dhanush and Appukutty were required to travel in a small boat into the sea. There were reports that just as Bharat Bala was canning this sequence in the sea, a fierce gush of wind toppled the boat upside down due to its sheer force. Some fishermen who were along with the crew for security purposes immediately sprung into action and saved the two actors, it seems.

But, Dhanush has come out and cleared the air that nothing of this sort happened and that they are all rumours. He also said that the shoot happened peacefully with the ocean aiding them in every possible way.

Vishwaroopam and Kadal affect Aadhi Bhagavan

Aadhi Bhagavan, which is awaiting release on February 22nd, was recently censored and came out with an A certificate. Lead actor Jayam Ravi has said that the A certificate is a result of the implementation of the new strict censor rules, following the problems faced by Vishwaroopam and Kadal.

He also vouched that there is no vulgarity in the film and maybe the mafia backdrop of the film might have resulted in an ‘Adults Only’ tag for this Ameer film which was recently retitled as Ameerin Aadhi Bhagavan (AAB).

Vishwaroopam 2 - Just 15 days left

Everyone who has seen Vishwaroopam, will be eagerly waiting for the sequel of the movie which was shown as a small teaser at the end of the first part. These footages from the second part promise as much action and thrills as the first part delivered. India would be the scene of action majorly in the second part.

According to a source close to Kamal, it seems the shooting of the second part would be completed in the next 15 days after which the post-production process would begin. There were reports earlier that Kamal had already shot majorly for the second part along with the first part and this latest news only vindicates the same.

We will get to see more of all the characters who dazzled in the first part like Omar Bhai, Nirupama, Ashmita, Salim Bhai and of course Wissam Ahmad Kashmiri.

Here, the ban on Vishwaroopam still stays

With Vishwaroopam doing good business not only in Tamil Nadu but also in neighboring states and overseas markets like US and the UK, there is one sour note. In Malaysia, which is a huge market for Tamil films, the ban on the film is yet to be lifted after earlier protests from Muslim groups in the country halted the movie from running beyond January 24th.

Malaysian Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein imposed this ban which is yet to be lifted even as Vishwaroopam is peacefully continuing its run in all other parts of the world.

Malaysian fans must be feeling left out, as the movie continues to earn rave reviews from every other corner of the world.

The link between 7aum Arivu and Singam 2

For Singam 2, Suriya will be clashing head-on with a Hollywood baddie, in the form of Danny Sapani. This has been confirmed from sources close to the production of the movie. Director Hari’s unit is currently in South Africa and they also plan to can songs and fight scenes in Kenya and Tanzania.

Danny Sapani has acted in movies like Mercenaries and The Oxford Murders. It must be noted that Suriya’s villain in 7aum Arivu, Johnny Tri Nguyen, also had Hollywood links and now the star is set to repeat the trend in Singam 2 as well, which is a sequel to the earlier Singam.
